#DestinationDating: Water so clear you can see to the bottom. $100,000 cars, every body got em

About an hour before I had to leave for the event, I got a call from my mechanic.

Your convertible isn't going to be ready today. I just got it back from the window shop and we still need to put everything back together.

<tangent> This guy is TOTALLY badass btw. Not only did he just give me his car as a loaner, but the first day I went to his shop we kicked it and he even opened up his bar handing me a shot of tequila. (I didn't finish it since I was going to have to drive obvi) </tangent>

#Question: Does this make me insane? Or is this just another "breakthrough?"

I don't think we ever know the "right" decision, I say back to her. We just keep making a series of choices, but I do believe in listening to that inner guidance. You have to follow your gut, you can't be self-sacrificial to your now husband just because he asked first. You need to figure out what YOU want. (Thank you Drama of the Gifted Child.)

#ThatAwkwardMomentWhen: You discover the hard way that nobody messes with the Jesus

The process over the last few weeks has been maddening. I catch myself crying randomly all over the place as I am feeling vulnerable for the first time in my adult life. Being vulnerable as a child taught me that I was going to be attacked either verbally or physically. I quickly learned to compartmentalize all of my emotions to appear "stronger" than whoever came at me, and even learned how to box when I was being stalked physically. (Hence also why I didn't even bat an eye at pulling the knife on that dude when he broke into my parent's condo. You just "know" how to be prepared.)

#NerdsUnite: The unexpected evening (a night at the @playboy mansion)

<tangent> I was actually approached by Playboy a few years back to be their "tech guru." I can't say why or who it was through but because a deal didn't end up in place their requirement for said personality dwindled. Thus, I didn't get it. It doesn't change the fact that I'm INSANELY passionate about the work Hef has done from an equal rights perspective, to even what he's done for women and their sexuality; playmates are goddesses. While I don't agree with how they are branding themselves anymore in the digital space, they are still a powerhouse and at any moment can change a few things around. Big fan of Playboy. I wouldn't ever pose, but I'm very very passionate about what they have done. </tangent>

#RealDeal: Coding your subconscious & learning to close the end tag

I need to grow up. I've been living life by the seat of my corporate sponsored pants for the last 3 years and it's shit or get off the pot time in adding structure and developing an exit strategy. No one prepares you for the moment where you realize you have become everything you wanted to be, but you have to know when to let go so you can creatively grow in other manners.

#NerdsUnite: How to build rapport on a date

Rapport is an emotional exchange that helps people feel a connection on a deeper level. The next time you go out to eat, observe the people chatting with each other. What you’ll often see is people leaning toward one other, smiling, making eye contact and mirroring or mimicking each other’s movements and gestures. They’re in rapport. On a subconscious level, we all mirror the movements of someone we like or want to impress.
