Double Standards...

I have lots of random and crazy ideas tumbling through my brain at any given time, and this was one of them that I posted on Twitter.
So, I got to thinking about double standards and how ridiculous they really are.
A man that has sex with a bunch of women is a player, but a women that has sex with a bunch of men is a slut. But, why? I don't think one person who supports this double standard could give you a legitimate explanation as to why. It's a mentality that has been around since the beginning of man. A man's place in the world is determined by his success. That includes "having" women that are desired by others.
Men are douches and women are victims. So true. The end of a relationship is always dangerous for a man. He is treading on broken glass. If it's not a mutual break up, the woman call always turn it into the man being the douche and the woman being the victim. Women make themselves the victim so they can point out every way the man was to blame.
Women cheat out of neglect, men cheat just to "get some." Women can say that they cheated because they have been neglected and didn't get enough attention and we'll eat that up. But, a man that cheats... he's doing it because he's thinking with his dick. He just wants to get laid. Such a load of crap! People cheat because they want to. It's a conscious decision. There is no excuse.
There are others out there and we have all heard them. One could argue that most of these double standards could date back clear to the caveman days. As much as society states what is right and what is wrong, we act due to human nature. We as humans glorify ourselves, but at the end of the day we are just animals.
