Change the way people receive their info, and you change their life

Alrite, you all know how passionate I am regarding social media. It is no surprise that I also have the domain www.IamSocialMedia.com - I mean, HELLO!!!!!

I've been listening to this song by Buffalo Springfield a lot lately, and it kinda got me thinking. We've been experiencing a "youth revolt" for centuries. Every decade, the youth is convinced that THEY are going to be the ones that are instrumental in changing the way the world works ... and don't get me wrong, they all did their own thang for a while ... which was great. However, the message of life was still being delivered via main stream corporate media. Every night we were still tuning in to the 6pm news - being told that "the world is coming to an end" blah blah blah. The world has ALWAYS been coming to an end. Hate to break it to you ... back in the day, they didn't even know if the sun was going to rise the next morning. This paranoia is nothing new. In fact, it is so deeply rooted in our psyche that we accept this way of thinking as "life" and "normal." IT ISN'T!!!

You guys have NO idea the revolution we are currently experiencing, and the most INCREDIBLE part about all of this is that for the FIRST time in all of these youth revolts, the power has been given BACK to the youth as we are now the ones that are dictating the news. WE are social media - WE ARE THE MEDIA! Just let that sink in for a second ...

Just sit with it ...

Here I'll just sit here and twiddle my thumbs ...

You have the power. Your friends turn to YOU to know the trends, to know what is going on in the world, Facebook and Twitter have absolutely changed the game. And oh yeah - the kids that run Facebook and Twitter are also about greater good, and finding purpose in life instead of a Benz. In the midst of this financial collapse, is the rising of this movement unlike anything I have ever seen before, and unlike anything I think we will ever see again. I have had meetings with some of the most POWERFUL people in Hollywood in the last few weeks - and even THEY have told me the same thing, "times have changed." NO EFFIN DUH! They have!!! So take your power back folks!! The big wigs are shakin' in their boots.

If you change the way people receive their information, you change their definition of "normal" and inadvertently change their life. I mean HUGE! HUGE! HUGE!!!! We've changed the way we're receiving our info folks!! When was the last time you turned on your TV to find the latest breaking news? DUDE! I don't even OWN a TV!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I have an external LG 27" monitor instead to watch HULU)

Wake up kids!!! It's totally time to play!!!! =) =) =) =)
