NERD ALERT!

In the 1980's, "NERD ALERT!" was a term used to call attention to a nerdy-type person or social outcast when seen approaching.  It was considered an insult. 

Now 2010, in the technological age of computers and the Internet, "NERD ALERT!" is the proud announcement of arrival for those nerdy individuals who are passionate about being intellectually superior.  Nerds are now cool.  Nerds are now sexy.  Nerds are now taking over the world.  So, DON'T hide your nerdiness.  Be proud of it.  Embrace it.  Flaunt it.  Let those words be your warcry.  The next time you approach a group of individuals and one of them shouts out, "NERD ALERT!" ... stop, smile confidently and respond politely with "Thank you ... I'm pretty freakin' awesome!"
