Yesterday I wrote about Britney Spears (@BritneySpears) passing Ashton Kutcher (@aplusk) as the most followed Twitter user. While they bounced back and forth a couple times yesterday, Britney has opened up a solid 6,000 follower lead (or about as many people that follow the entire TNTML staff combined), leading her to tweet this:

Meanwhile, Ashton, who is currently doing press tours for his upcoming movie "Killers", seems to be taking his temporary defeat in stride:

Well, that's less drama than I would have hoped for from this Twitter war. Wait. OMG! He spelled "Britney" wrong! It's on, bitch! 

FYI, as of this exact moment (1:41 PM EDT), Spears is 45,575 followers shy of 5,000,000. Think she'll hit the mark today? This week? Never?
