No, not "Nerd Inc", which would be an entirely different thing (and probably pretty cool, but I digress). No, I'm talking about nerdy-themed tattoos. Why? Well, it looks like our own novice nerd is about to jump back into the ink pool.

Now, I can't recommend a tattoo artist in Auckland (East Harford, CT is an entirely different story), but I can suggest a tattoo theme: nerd ink.

What is nerd ink? Well, it's any tattoo that celebrates nerdiness in all its forms. There's coding nerd ink (see above), science nerd ink (check out this one), gadget nerd ink (I'm guessing this guy doesn't care about iPhone OS 4.0), video game nerd ink (that's just epic), even sexy nerd ink (I think I know how to turn HER on).

Some people think nerd ink defeats the purpose of getting a tattoo - a personal statement of who you are via body art - but I completely disagree. For many of us, being a nerd IS who we are, and the best way to show that is by getting our nerdy loves permanantly inked on our bodies.

I for one have 5 nerd tattoos, all of which have a deeper personal meaning to me than the obvious reference, but are also just pretty cool looking, and recognizable to true nerds everywhere.
