The Last Lecture
This is an actual moment of seriousness ...
haha, I know I joke around all day everyday, but this is sincerely from my heart.
I never got a chance to meet Randy Pausch in this life, but he touched my heart in so many ways. This man was a perfect stranger to me, yet his death served as a serious wake up call to my life.
If you have a chance, take a look at this video, his last lecture.
Hope it helps you as much as it did the first time I saw it.
Randy, you were one hell of a cool nerd. Thanks so, so, much for the inspiration.
*Drum Roll* And now, the last lecture.
Highlights:
We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.
Have something to bring to the table, because that will make you more welcome.
When you see yourself doing something badly and nobody’s bothering to tell you anymore, that’s a very bad place to be. Your critics are your ones telling you they still love you and care.
The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough.
I have a theory that people who come from large families are better people because they’ve just had to learn to get along.
My personal favorite: You just have to decide if you’re a Tigger or an Eeyore.
